(1) The ribbons can be divided into inner carbon and outer carbon from the winding method. The inner carbon refers to the contact of the ink side with the axis of the carbon ribbon, and the outer carbon refers to the contact of the ink-free side with the axis. Both types of ribbon printers can be used for general bar code printers. Only individual printers can use carbon ribbons with either internal or external carbon.

(2) The ribbon is also divided into a flat ribbon ribbon and a edge ribbon ribbon from a print head using a printer, which is suitable for a flat pressure type printer and a side pressure type printer, respectively. The two ribbons cannot be mixed.

(3) The carbon ribbons are divided into three types from chemical compositions (materials): wax bases, mixed bases, and resin bases. Generally, wax-based carbon tape refers to a carbon tape with a ratio of 70% to paraffin, mixed-carbon tape refers to a carbon tape with a ratio of paraffin to a tree of 50%, and a resin-based carbon tape refers to a tape with a proportion of paraffin less than 50%.

Wax-based ribbons are characterized by their high sensitivity, high resolution, and high density, and have wide applicability, such as plain paper, coated paper, rough paper, glossy paper, coated paper, synthetic paper, etc.; mixed base ribbons have stain resistance , high definition, high resolution, with a wide range of applicability, suitable for a variety of labels, such as coated paper, smooth paper, coated paper, synthetic paper, PET, PVC, etc.; resin-based ribbon with high-quality scratch resistance, resistance Stain, solvent resistance, high resolution, etc., suitable for a variety of materials, especially a variety of polyester and plastic labels, such as synthetic paper, PVC, PET, washing labels.
