1. Printing method

The printing method refers to the technology used by the barcode printer to print. In general, bar code printers use thermal transfer printing technology, and some products call themselves "hot transfer technology", which is actually a truth. The thermal transfer technology, in a nutshell, uses a special ribbon to transfer the toner coating on the ribbon to a paper or other type of material through a working principle similar to that of a fax machine. In addition, since the coating material on the carbon ribbon can be selected according to needs, a strong adhesion is generated, and the selection of the printing medium can ensure that the printed writing is not affected by the outside world. Thermal transfer printing can withstand time test, long-term deformation, text can be stored for a long time, will not fade, will not wear because of contact with solvents, can not be discolored due to high temperature.

2. Print length

In the process of bar code label printing, the bar code printer does not mean that it can print at one time without restriction, and generally has a certain limit on the length of printing. The maximum print length is also expressed in units of length units of mm, which can be said to be clear at a glance.

3. Print width

Print width refers to the maximum width range that a barcode printer can print. Its logo is different from the standard printer paper specifications, but it is marked by the daily length unit mm, which can be said at a glance. Users should choose according to the actual width of the barcode label that they need to print in the actual application. And for this problem, the user must consider it clearly, so the width can be printed small, but the width is small, it is definitely not possible to print large. There is no doubt that the print width increases and the price of the product naturally rises.

4. Print resolution

Resolution is a common indicator for all printing devices, as is label printers. Resolution refers to the highest achievable printing accuracy of the product. That is, how many points can be achieved per inch, in units of dpi. Multiplying two numbers represents lateral accuracy and longitudinal accuracy. In general, the resolution of current bar code printers, 300dpi products are much more.

5. Printing speed

Unlike the printing methods of our common inkjet printers and laser printers, the bar code printer print speed is expressed by the length of the widest label tape that the product can print in a unit of time. Expressed in mm/s (mm/s), that is, how many millimeters of label tape can be printed in one second. For this technical indicator, the bigger the better, the better.
