The core of the ribbon is usually made of paper or plastic. The main requirement is that it cannot be deformed and cannot slide when printed.

Original composition

The original tape is generally composed of five layers, a top coat, an ink layer, an inner coat, a tape base and a back coat. 1. Inner coating: It is mainly used to smooth the printed surface and to make the ink release from the belt. 2. Ink layer: It is the most important for printing and determining the use characteristics of the ribbon, such as chemical corrosion resistance and anti-friction. 3. Tape base: It is the carrier of other layers and determines the performance of heat conduction. 4. Backcoat: Simply put, a special coating applied to the back of the ribbon, which is mainly used to reduce printhead wear; reduce static generation and enhance heat transfer. 5. Top coat: It is mainly used to improve the adhesion of the ink on the label and enhance the resistance of the environment.

Front lead

The front lead belt is generally transparent or other colors. He has the following functions: 1. Product identification: The product name, company name and trademark can be printed for marketing and sales promotion. 2. Protection: Used to protect the ribbon. 3. Easy to use: easy to bring barcode carbon to the printer

Rear lead

Generally speaking, it is a warning function to let the printer sense the end of the ribbon. The difference of the printer determines the different rear belts. There are three main types: 1. Transparent: used for transmissive sensors, allowing light to pass through the ribbon. Finish. 2. Aluminized (silver): mainly for reflective sensors, reflected light indicates the end of the ribbon. 3. For mechanical sensing, the change in the printer's sense of tension indicates that the ribbon has run out.
